SmartSoftKey’s ASPLock solution may be deployed within the software developer’s infrastructure. Within the License Model, the software developer will be responsible for managing the all aspects of software licensing including embedding ASPLock within the application as well as managing the software licensing infrastructure.

There are two different License Model offerings:

License Server: This offering utilizes the same licensing server and database as the hosted Service Bureau model. All licenses that are distributed are stored within the database and may be reported on for future use. To implement this solution, a software developer must have a machine with Windows 2003 server and SQL Server 2003.

Manual License Keys: The license keys are generated manually by the software developer as required by customer purchases. This offering provides a simple yet secure method to distribute licenses on a limited basis.

When a software developer selects the License Model, they receive the following:

• Client-side tools to embed within the application
• Fully documented and easy-to-use SDK with code examples
• Licensing server applications and database (License Server model only)
• Manual license key generation toolset (Manual License Keys only)
